ACCOUNTANT 

Responsibilities of this position include the general ledger and monthly closing processes, maintaining the cost accounting system used to cost and price quotes and proposals, preparation of all monthly account reconciliations, preparation of monthly adjusting journal entries and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent commensurate education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting preferred
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience in financial systems and work measurement systems, including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

ASSOCIATE DRAFTING SUPERVISOR 

Assists Drafting Supervisor with the supervision, planning and coordination of the activities of staff engaged in developing complex electronic equipment using CAD tools. Along with the Drafting Supervisor, plans workflow within department to ensure that customer deadlines are met and establishes work procedures to meet production schedules. Team member who designs and develops complex electronic equipment that meets customer and ACT specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent in technical field; AS or BS in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Previous work experience in mechanical and/or electrical design including supervision/leadership role preferred
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word), M-CAD: AutoCAD Design Suite (Inventor), E-CAD: Altium preferred but not essential
  • A working knowledge of ASME Y14.100M: Engineering Drawing Practice and ASME14.5: Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions sufficient for dimensioning
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, bills of materials and basic understanding of electrical schematics/PCB layouts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organizational skills essential
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management and mentor those who report through the position
  • Ability to write business procedures, processes and other correspondence

CAD DESIGNER 

Develops complex electronic equipment through the creation of 2D, 3D and assembly drawings and associated bills of material in order to meet customer and ACT specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in CAD or two years technical school in mechanical design (AAS preferred) or commensurate applicable experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of or demonstrated interest in gaining knowledge of ASME Y14.100M: Engineering Drawing Practice and ASME 14.5: Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word), AutoCAD Design Suite (Inventor) or Solidworks and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Strong communication skills to be able to interact with interdepartmental personnel and customers
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fraction sufficient for dimensioning , math associated with electronic circuit theory preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail along with the ability to multitask

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE 

Serves as the interface with all potential and existing customers for new and existing orders, returns and general customer service inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing customer service role is helpful, but not required preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer experience to include ERP systems and MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work to complete assignments in a logical and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and strength in effectively communicating with others to build positive working relationships and reach creative solutions to satisfy objectives
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long-term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes is highly desired

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER 

Develops complex electronic equipment, verifies product requirements through testing and analysis, interfaces with customers on requirements and provides technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience with packaging design, mechanical and environmental testing preferred
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical CAE tools
  • Strong computer skills in CAD/CAE tools as well as MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with 3D printing operations desired

POWER ELECTRONICS ENGINEER 

Designs, develops, improves and tests new or existing custom electronic products from concept through production.  Interfaces with customers on requirements and provides technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or BSEET
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

  • May require travel in support of sales and/or products

SALES/APPLICATIONS ENGINEER 

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with all customers. Provide technical guidance and conceptualization in supporting new sales opportunities of ACT products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related
  • Previous industry experience or sales experience (including inside sales) a plus, but not required
  • Desire to learn or demonstrated ability to sell technical capabilities as well as technical hardware solutions
  • Desire to learn or demonstrated ability to arrange face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers
  • Strategic thinker and planner with a demonstrated ability to keep the ‘big picture’ in mind while working in depth to great detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter who functions effectively with limited direct supervision

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER 

Specifies, designs, develops, documents, tests and supports software and firmware architectures throughout the various stages of development from proof of concept prototypes to functional software. Turns user needs and functional design/specifications into technical system designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience and education
  • Previous software development experience required (10+ years experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of embedded software/hardware systems and real-time software design
  • Experience with Linux, MySQL, MSSQL Server, GIT/GitHub, ANSI C, C++, Assembler, Visual C++ and Visual Basic required
  • Familiarity with microcontroller programmers, microcontroller emulators, debuggers, development environments, digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes and bench power supplies a plus
  • Experience with the following circuits preferred: microcontroller programming, CPLD programming, analog to digital converters, digital to analog converters, FIR filer, UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485, USB bus communication, general circuit design including active and passive components
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), PSPICE, Matlab and ERP systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
