Buyer

Procures a broad range of component parts, materials and services.  Sources material and manages suppliers to fulfill production and Engineering development requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in business field with Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • 2+ years’ experience in purchasing material and production planning using an ERP/MRP system.
  • Computer experience to include proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (CSI10 preferred) and MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work to complete assignments in a logical and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and strength in effectively communicating with others to build positive working relationships.
  • Ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reach creative solutions to satisfy objectives.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes is highly desired.
  • Excellent organizationals skills, ability to balance immediate/long-term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity.

CNC Operator/Machinist

Follows quality requirements and safety procedures to machine components per drawing dimensional and tolerance specifications utilizing machining (CNC water jet, CNC vertical and horizontal machinig centers and LPKF) available within the Machine Shop.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous CNC mill machining experience desired
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, procedures and bills of material
  • Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to multitask
  • Good computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter, transact and retrieve simple data as well as the ability to learn to program with Mastercam

Electrical Design Engineer

Designs, develops, improves and tests new or existing custom electronic products from concept through production. Interfaces with customers on requirements and provides input to technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE/BSEET required with MS a plus
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analog circuits, such as rectifier circuits, regulators, oscillators, amplifiers, filters, inductors and their electronic schematics
  • Familiarity with non-isolated and isolated power electronic topologies such as Buck, Boost, Buck Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of oscilloscopes, electronic loads, AC and DC sources, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, and LCR meters
  • Experience in circuit modeling (PSPICE, LTSpice, PLECs, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask

Electronics Assembler

Assembles and solders circuit card assemblies (CCAs), printed circuit boards (PCBs), through-hole components and surface mount components. Performs wiring and mechanical assembly operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience in electronic assembly role, including hand-soldering of components and wires preferred, but not required
  • Ability to recognize components and determine polarity
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, procedures and BOMs
  • Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Good computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter, transact and retrieve simple data
  • Ability to multitask

Electronics Test Technician

Conducts a variety of electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure operation in accordance with specifications.  Applies knowledge of electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two year/technical school in electronics or commensurate applicable experience
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions as well as electronic theory math
  • Ability to read blueprints and bills of material
  • Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and Adobe Reader
  • Ability to multitask

Field Sales Engineer (Remote-TX/AZ/CA)

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with all customers.  Provide technical guidance and conceptualization in supporting new sales opportunities of ACT products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with Bachelor’s degree preferred (technical degree strongly preferred (BSEE)) or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years’ selling to major military defense contractors and subcontractors preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technical capabilities as well as technical hardware solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to arrange customer meetings with new and existing customers
  • Working knowledge of the design and manufacture of electronic/electro-mechanical components and power supplies and of their general system applications
  • Strategic thinker and planner with a demonstrated ability to keep the ‘big picture’ in mind while working in depth to great detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who functions effectively with limited direct supervision
  • Comprehensive computer experience to include proficiency with CRM and ERP systems and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Project)
