CNC Machinist/Programmer 

Follow quality requirements and safety procedures to machine components per drawing dimensional and tolerance specifications utilizing CNC machining available within the shop.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years training or equivalent commensurate combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to program and machine complex components with CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
  • Demonstrated ability to program with a CAM system, Mastercam preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with G&M codes
  • Demonstrated foundation in geometric tolerancing and dimensions
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
  • Ability to read blueprints and bills of material
  • Computer experience to include proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems (Syteline preferred)
  • Ability to seek out solutions independently and work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering design control with manufacturing procedures
  • Ability to communication with Design Engineers to ensure correct specifications and documentation

Customer Service/Administrative Assistant 

Provides administrative and customer service support for the organization. Handles a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Interfaces with existing customers for new and existing orders, returns and general customer service inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with Associate’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ administrative and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Intermediate/advanced computer experience to include proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work to complete assignments in a logical and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and strength in effectively communicating with others to build positive working relationships and reach creative solutions to satisfy objectives

Electronic Test Technician 

Conducts a variety of electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure operation in accordance with specifications. Applies knowledge of electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two year/technical school in electronics or commensurate applicable experience
  • Basic match skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions including electronic theory math
  • Ability to read blueprints and bills of material
  • Computer skills to include MS Office products (Excel and Word) and Adobe Reader
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Manufacturing Engineer 

Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and processes for the purpose of sustaining the profitable manufacture of existing products as well as the introduction of new products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or 5+ years of comparable experience and education
  • Continuous improvement training or experience desired (Six Sigma, Lean, 6S)
  • IPC CIS or CIT certification to any of the following standards is desired: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • Strong computer skills including ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Materials Manager 

Manages activities related to purchasing and material requirements planning. Manages and improves the planning function through the full utilization of ERP and MRP systems. Manages and coordinates others in purchasing and financial forecasting activities that limit costs and improve customer service. Implements supply chain processes that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and cost reduction strategies.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Materials Management, Sourcing or related field; or equivalent experience
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification preferred; Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification preferred
  • 7-10 years materials experience that includes purchasing, planning, forecasting and inventory control management in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience utilizing an ERP system is preferred and knowledge of the Syteline ERP system is a plus
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills are necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and functions
  • Ability to drive process improvements to enhance and streamline planning, purchasing and warehousing processes
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long-term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity

Mechanical Design Engineer 

Designs, develops, improves and tests mechanical and thermal devices for custom electronic products. Verifies products meet customer requirements through testing and analysis. Interfaces with customers on requirements and provides technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience and education
  • 2-5 years’ experience with packaging design, mechanical and environmental testing preferred
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, e.g. Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) and CAE tools
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes is highly desired

Power Electronics Engineer 

Designs, develops, improves and tests new or existing custom electronic products from concept through production.  Interfaces with customers on requirements and provides technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or BSEET
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience

Sales Engineer 

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with all customers. Provide technical guidance and conceptualization in supporting new sales opportunities of ACT products and services.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required with technical degree strongly preferred (BSEE) or a combination of commensurate education and experience
  • Experience selling to military defense subcontractors and higher end industrial accounts is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technical capabilities as well as technical hardware solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to arrange face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers
  • Working knowledge of the design and manufacture of electronic/electro-mechanical components and power supplies and of their general system applications
  • Working knowledge of an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
  • Strategic thinker and planner with a demonstrated ability to keep the ‘big picture’ in mind while working in depth to great detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter who functions effectively with limited direct supervision
