CAD Mechanical Designer

Develop complex electronic equipment using AutoCAD Inventor to meet customer and ACT specifications, following initial guidance set forth by Engineering.


  • Associates degree (AAS) in CAD or two years technical school in mechanical design (AAS preferred) or commensurate applicable experience
  • A working knowledge of or demonstrated interest in gaining knowledge of ASME Y14.100M: Engineering Drawing Practice and ASME14.5: Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word), AutoCAD Design Suite (Inventor)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions sufficient for dimensioning; math associated with electronic circuit theory preferred
  • Good organizational skills, self motivated, creative, attention to detail, the ability to multi task, and a willingness to learn
  • Previous experience with electronics preferred


Electronics Assembler

Assemble electronic assemblies and subassemblies by hand soldering components such as resistors, capacitors, transformers and connectors onto printed circuit boards and connect wires to the assemblies.


  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2+ years experience handling electronic assembly and components including hand soldering of components preferred (J-Standard soldering a plus)
  • Recognize components and determine polarity
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions.
  • Able to read blueprint and BOMs
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask


Engineering Manager

Responsible for managing and coordinating the work of highly skilled engineering staff, placing particular emphasis on project management within the department.  Supervise day to day engineering functions and support sales functions with heavy involvement in customer interactions.


  • BSEE required, with preference to MSEE
  • Engineering management experience required.
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience and/or military COTS power supply experience; strong preference to military design including COTS and EMI.
  • Software development experience preferred including digital electronics design experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • May require travel in support of sales and/or products.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.


Epoxy & Coating Technician

Epoxy and/or coat completed electronic and magnetic assemblies by bonding components and wires with chemicals or compounds.  Mask assemblies with adhesives and spray or bush on protective coating.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Related experience/training in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and procedures
  • Ability to measure and work with chemicals, including alcohol, and follow chemical recipes
  • Depth perception, close vision, color vision are required
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask



Follow quality requirements and safety procedures to fabricate components per drawing dimensional and tolerance specifications.  Use hand tools and manual computer controlled fabrication equipment.  Finish machined and fabricated components by removing sharp edges, burrs and prepares the surface for further finishing.  Applies final finishes to component per print and procedure specifications using chemical conversion, electro-chemical or paint systems.


  • High school diploma/GED and 3-6  months related experience and/or training or equivalent
  • Basic match skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
  • Ability to read blueprints and bills of materials
  • Ability to seek out solutions independently and work with minimal supervision

Inventory Control/Shipping Clerk

Preservation of product during all stages of stockroom processing, including proper identification to maintain conformity requirements, handling, packaging, storage, shelf-life control, stock rotation and prevention and detection of FOD (Foreign Object Debris).   Contribute to ACT’s objective of meeting customer requirements by providing conforming product and achieving on-time delivery through sustaining accurate inventory locations.  Concludes manufacturing cycle by packaging and shipping finished product to the customer.


  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years previous inventory control experience preferred
  • Strong computer experience to include proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrated strength in effectively communicating with others to build positive working relationships
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask


Machine Operator

Set-up and operate surface mount (SMT) assembly equipment and/or PC board assembly equipment using CAD data/software and perform preventive maintenance.  Perform surface mount repairs and/or hand solder surface mount or through-hole components when necessary. Create reflow oven profiles with automated software, update inventory levels in MRP system, and program equipment (if required).


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience handling and soldering electronic assemblies and components preferred
  • Good computer skills including experience with Windows based systems
  • Ability to read bills of material and assembly drawings
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask


Quality Engineer

Provides support to identify, plan, implement, and follow-up on continuous process improvement systems company-wide. Ensures products (including services) are developed, manufactured, tested and delivered according to established procedures that will assure that they meet all quality requirements.


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
  • 3-5 years experience in an AS 9100 or ISO 9001 Manufacturing environment
  • Strongly prefer candidate that has experience developing and updating AS 9100 quality procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication skills – approachable, relates well to others, builds positive partnerships, engages peoples and helps them understand change, actively listens, provides and seeks feedback
  • Ability to achieve results through teamwork – open to diverse ideas and work collaboratively
