Electrical Design Engineer

Designs, develops, improves and tests new or existing custom electronic products from concept through production. Interfaces with customers on requirements and provides input to technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

• BSEE/BSEET required with MS a plus
• Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of analog circuits, such as rectifier circuits, regulators, oscillators, amplifiers, filters, inductors and their electronic schematics
• Familiarity with non-isolated and isolated power electronic topologies such as Buck, Boost, Buck Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge
• Demonstrated working knowledge of oscilloscopes, electronic loads, AC and DC sources, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, and LCR meters
• Experience in circuit modeling (PSPICE, LTSpice, PLECs, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask

Electrical Design Engineer Internship/Co-Op

Students will be working in the Electrical Engineering department on a variety of projects, including board layout and schematics, bench testing and simulations.  Opportunities are available for Summer 2027 Internships and for Co-Op students who can work during the semester.

Qualifications:

• Working toward a 4-year Electrical or Electronics Engineering degree at an accredited institution
• An interest in power supply design
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills with knoweldge of or experience with Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle a plus

Electronics Assembler

Assembles and solders circuit card assemblies (CCAs), printed circuit boards (PCBs), through-hole components and surface mount components. Performs wiring and mechanical assembly operations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience in electronic assembly role, including hand-soldering of components and wires preferred, but not required
• Ability to recognize components and determine polarity
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
• Ability to read and understand drawings, procedures and BOMs
• Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Good computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter, transact and retrieve simple data
• Ability to multitask

Electronics Test Technician

Conducts a variety of electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure operation in accordance with specifications.  Applies knowledge of electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent from two year/technical school in electronics or commensurate applicable experience
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions as well as electronic theory math
• Ability to read blueprints and bills of material
• Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and Adobe Reader
• Ability to multitask

Field Sales Engineer (Remote-TX/AZ/CA)

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with all customers.  Provide technical guidance and conceptualization in supporting new sales opportunities of ACT products and services.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree with Bachelor’s degree preferred (technical degree strongly preferred (BSEE)) or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• 5+ years’ selling to major military defense contractors and subcontractors preferred
• Demonstrated ability to sell technical capabilities as well as technical hardware solutions
• Demonstrated ability to arrange customer meetings with new and existing customers
• Working knowledge of the design and manufacture of electronic/electro-mechanical components and power supplies and of their general system applications

Production Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of staff engaged in manufacturing operations.  Plans and executes work schedules, job assignments and training activities to meet our customer’s quality and delivery expectations.  Establishes and maintains a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline with Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing (electronic manufacturing preferred) including experience in a supervisor/leadership role preferred.
• Proven ability to lead a team in the execution of manufacturing operations to meet revenue and delivery goals.
• High customer focus with regard to delivering a quality product in a timely manner.
• Proven knowledge of how to implement process controls in production in order to improve efficiency and minimize waste (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, TPS, 6S, etc.).
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to strategize, communicate and lead improvement initiatives (cost reduction, quality and efficiency) to gain buy-in at all levels and drive execution of a plan.
• Ability to take a hands-on approach to resolving manufacturing issues.
• Ability to read and write procedures, work instructions and other forms of technical documentation.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
