CNC MACHINIST/PROGRAMMER (Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm) 

Programs, sets up and operates both horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers with the Machine Shop.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 year training or equivalent commensurate cobination or education and experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to program with Mastercam requried
  • Ability to machine complex components with horizontal and vertical machinig centers
  • Knowledge of and experience with G&M codes
  • Demonstrated foundation in geometric tolerancing and dimensions
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
  • Ability to read blueprints and bills of material
  • Computer experience to include proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask

ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER 

Designs, develops, improves and tests new or existing custom electronic products from concept through production.  Interfaces with customers on requirements and provides technical proposals in response to requests for quotes.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or BSEET
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • May require travel in support of sales and/or products

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER INTERNSHIP 

The student will be working in the Electrical Engineering department with the support of a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and Engineering Manager working on a variety of projects to include bench testing, new product development, procedure and test plan development, test fixturing and analog and digital circuit simulations. A minimum of 15-20 hours per week during the semester is required and we will schedule the hours around the student’s class schedule.

  • Working towards a BSEE or BSEET

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR 

Supervises and coordinates activities of staff engaged in manufacturing operations of electronic assemblies and their requisite components and subassemblies. Plans and executes work schedules, job assignments and training activities to meet our customer’s quality and delivery expectations. Establishes and maintains a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing (electronics manufacturing preferred) including experience in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead a team in the execution of manufacturing operations to meeet revenue and delivery goals
  • High customer focus with regard to delivering a quality product in a timely manner
  • Proven knowledge of how to implement process controls in production in order to improve efficiency and minimize waste (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, TPS, 6S, etc.)
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to strategize, communicate and lead improvement initiatives to gain buy-in at all levels and drive execution of a plan
  • Ability to read and write procedures, work instructions and other forms of technical documentation

SALES/APPLICATIONS ENGINEER 

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with all customers. Provide technical guidance and conceptualization in supporting new sales opportunities of ACT products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related
  • Previous industry experience or sales experience (including inside sales) a plus, but not required
  • Desire to learn or demonstrated ability to sell technical capabilities as well as technical hardware solutions
  • Desire to learn or demonstrated ability to arrange face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers
  • Strategic thinker and planner with a demonstrated ability to keep the ‘big picture’ in mind while working in depth to great detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter who functions effectively with limited direct supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

SALES ENGINEER INTERNSHIP 

Students will be working in the Sales Engineering department with the support of a Sales Engineer and Director of New Business Development as well as with members of our Electrical Engineering department. Projects will include developing block diagrams and applications for sales solutioning, performing competitive analyses and market research, peforming Department of Defense spending and program research and writing technical marketing promotions. A minimum of 15-20 hours per week during the semester is required and we will schedule the hours around the student’s class schedule.

  • Working towards a 2-Year or 4-Year degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to multitask
