CAD Mechanical Designer (Early Career)

Develop complex electronic equipment, using AutoCAD Inventor, to meet customer and ACT specifications, following initial guidance set forth by Engineering.


  • Associates degree (AAS) in CAD or two years technical school in mechanical design (AAS preferred) or commensurate applicable experience
  • A working knowledge of or demonstrated interest in gaining knowledge of ASME Y14.100M: Engineering Drawing Practice and ASME14.5: Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word), AutoCAD Design Suite (Inventor), and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions sufficient for dimensioning; math associated with electronic circuit theory preferred
  • Good organizational skills, self motivated, creative, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a willingness to learn
  • Must possess complex electronics background


Director of Engineering

Responsible for managing and coordinating the work of highly skilled engineering staff, placing particular emphasis on project management within the department.  Supervise day to day engineering functions and support sales functions with heavy involvement in customer interactions.


  • BSEE required, with preference to MSEE
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with power supply design experience; and/or military COTS power supply experience; strong preference to military design including COTS and EMI.
  • Engineering management experience strongly preferred.
  • Software development experience preferred including digital electronics design experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • May require travel in support of sales and/or products.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to Multi Task


Machine Operator

Set-up and operate surface mount (SMT) assembly equipment and/or PC board assembly equipment using CAD data/software and perform preventive maintenance.  Perform surface mount repairs and/or hand solder surface mount or through-hole components when necessary. Create reflow oven profiles with automated software, update inventory levels in MRP system, and program equipment (if required).


  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years experience handling and soldering electronic assemblies and components preferred.
  • Good computer skills including experience with Windows based systems.
  • Ability to read Bills of Materials and assembly drawings.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Must be able to lift 5-10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 15 pounds occasionally.  Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.


Metal Fabricator/Finisher

Follow quality requirements and safety procedures to fabricate components per drawing dimensional and tolerance specifications.  Use hand tools, manual computer controlled fabrication equipment. Finish machined and fabricated components by removing sharp edges, burrs and prepares the surface for further finishing.  Applies final finishes to component per print and procedure specifications using chemical conversion, electro-chemical or paint systems.


  • High school diploma/GED and 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent commensurate combination of education and experience.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subraction, decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to read blueprints and Bills of Materials.
  • Ability to seek out solutions independently and work with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.

Must be able to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion.  Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
