CAD Electrical Mechanical Designer

Develops complex electronic equipment using M-CAD/E-CAD tools, to meet customer and company specifications, following initial guidance set forth by Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (AAS) in CAD or two years technical school in mechanical and/or electrical design (AAS preferred) or commensurate applicable experience
  • A working knowledge of or demonstrated interest in gaining knowledge of ASME Y14.100M: Engineering Drawing Practice and ASME14.5: Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) or similar, M-CAD: AutoCAD Design Suite (Inventor) and/or E-CAD: CADstar preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, to be able to interact with interdepartmental personnel and customers
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions sufficient for dimensioning, math associated with electronic circuit theory preferred
  • Good organizational skills, self-motivated, creative, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a willingness to learn
  • An electronics background or interest preferred

 

Engineering Manager

Responsible for managing and coordinating the work of highly skilled engineering staff, placing particular emphasis on project management within the department.  Supervise day to day engineering functions and support sales functions with heavy involvement in customer interactions.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE required, with preference to MSEE
  • Engineering skills to include analog design with power supply design experience; and/or military COTS power supply experience; strong preference to military design including COTS and EMI.
  • Engineering management experience strongly preferred.
  • Software development experience preferred including digital electronics design experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • May require travel in support of sales and/or products.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to Multi Task

 

Inventory Control/Shipping Clerk

Preservation of product during all stages of stockroom processing, including proper identification to maintain conformity requirements, handling, packaging, storage, shelf-life control, stock rotation and prevention and detection of FOD (Foreign Object Debris).   Contribute to ACT’s objective of meeting customer requirements by providing conforming product and achieving on-time delivery through sustaining accurate inventory locations.  Concludes manufacturing cycle by packaging and shipping finished product to the customer.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years previous inventory control experience preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy to include proficiency with ERP systems (Syteline preferred), Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated strength in effectively communicating with others to build positive working relationships.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.

 

Machine Operator-Electronic Assembly

Set-up and operate surface mount (SMT) assembly equipment and/or PC board assembly equipment using CAD data/software and perform preventive maintenance.  Perform surface mount repairs and/or hand solder surface mount or through-hole components when necessary. Create reflow oven profiles with automated software, update inventory levels in MRP system, and program equipment (if required).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience handling and soldering electronic assemblies and components preferred.
  • Good computer skills including experience with Windows based systems.
  • Ability to read Bills of Materials and assembly drawings.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Must be able to lift 5-10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 15 pounds occasionally.  Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
