Description
The 7011 / 7012 inertial reference
provides a strap down lateral or normal accelerometer for spatial
orientation measurements as part of a complete inertial reference autopilot
system. The units are designed to replace aging mechanical LVDT based
accelerometers with superior performance. The units deliver optimal
performance in MIL-SPEC environments. The 7011 / 7012 Include:
Output: The 7011 / 7012 has a
ratiometric AC voltage output. Output is proportional to both the 28 VAC
power and the acceleration sensed. This response exactly duplicates the
response from LVDT based accelerometers it replaces.
Power Supply: The 7011 / 7012 operates directly from 28 VAC Aircraft
Power (MIL-STD-704). The unit handles the sags and surges common on the
power bus including induced effects of lightning.
MEMS Sensing: The MEMS core of the 7011 / 7012 provides a solid state
foundation for acceleration measurement. The MEMS accelerometer responds to
±1 g changes in the gravitational acceleration due to changes in aircraft
orientation.
Amplification: For maximum resolution of acceleration data, the 7011
/ 7012 amplifies signals with a multi-stage differential amplifier.
Filtering: The 7011 / 7012 filters and conditions signals with active
low-pass filtering to eliminate unwanted signal components. Filter is a 17
Hz, 6-pole Bessel style.
Self-Test: The 7011 / 7012 contains a built-in self-test function. A
signal line is available to engage the self-test remotely.
